Lesson 8 - Foil

In this lesson I will present and explain about Foil.

Let's start with the physical concept and how we can use it in surfing. Foil, is the distribution of thickness on the board. Also very confused with the rocker.

We can visualize the foil from different angles, longitudinal, transverse, and even obliquely diagonally. However, let's focus here on the longitudinal foil, which is the foil from the tip of the nose to the tail of the board.

I'll also show some functions about Foil inside Shape3D to illustrate better.

I will also explain the central foil or shifted forward and backward, how it affects surfing, types of boards they use, among others. A fundamental concept for you to become a shaper of excellence.
