LESSON 5 - Length

In this lesson, we're going to talk about one of the elements of the shape, the length.

Length is one of the most important elements. When we talk about a board, we usually start by talking about its length. Example: Longboard 9'0.

However, the length alone does not define the class of the board. For example, not every 9'0 will be a Longboard. A board this size can also be a Gun for big waves, with a very different shape despite the same length.

So, in this lesson, I will once again isolate the element of shape, in this case the length, and show you how it single-handedly influences many aspects of surfing and how you can apply it to design the best boards for your customers.
