Lesson 06

In this lesson we will do the final sanding of our handplane. Here, at this moment, the shape of your handplane must be ready. The final sanding serves to smooth the cuts made in previous classes, where we use “raw” tools to create the contours and drawings on the handplane. The final objective of this class is to smooth the contours and keep the surface homogeneous and porous for the application of oils for waterproofing the handplane, as well as the heat markings.
